Jeffery Hevey, Fire Chief

I have been a member of the Fire Service since May of 1974. I was hired full-time as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Fairborn on July 1, 1975. I have taken jobs as a Firefighter in Ohio and Wisconsin. I left the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin Fire Department in 2009 after spending 23 years as a Firefighter, Driver, Lt., BC of Training, their Administrative Assistant Chief. In February 2009, I accepted the position of Fire Chief with the Menomonee Falls Fire Department in Wisconsin, spending 4.5 years until I retired on July 5, 2013. That same month, I accepted the Fire Chief position with the Harris County ESD 48/West I-10 Fire Department. I retired from Harris County ESD 48 in October 2020. Retirement was short-lived when I was offered the interim Fire Chief position with the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department (MCESD 10) in Magnolia, Texas. I was later offered a one-year contract with MCESD 10. In 2022, I was offered a three (3) year contract with the Magnolia Fire Department, where I work today. In February of 2023, I reached my forty-ninth (49) year on the job in the Fire Service. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati. My wife Linda and I have been married for forty-seven (47) years; we have four (4) adult children and twelve (12) grandchildren.
